Shandong Provincial Museum is the center for collecting and store up  the historical relics of the whole province.  It has collected and stored up over 210,000 pieces of historical relics and specimens, which accounts for one fourth of the total in Shandong.  Among the articles collected the museum takes historic relics as the dominant objects, especially in collection of portray and porcelain, bronze ware, inscription on oracle bones, inscription on portray ware, sealing clay, clay of imperial jade seal, inscribed bamboo or wood slips in the Han Dynasty, stone carving of the Han Dynasty, painting and calligraphy.
