The 2007 China (Jiaxiang) Stone Sculpture Festival, organized by the China Sculpture Institute, the Office of the Leading Group for Shandong Provincial Reform of Cultural System and the Development of Cultural Industries, Shandong Provincial Department of Culture, and Jining Municipal People’s Government, hosted by Propaganda Department of Jining CPC Committee, Jining Bureau of Culture, and Jiaxiang County People’s Government, will be held from 25 to 27 September in Jiaxiang County, Jining City.

With the important thought of "Three Represents" and the scientific concept of development as the guide and with "upgrading stone sculptural art, carrying forward outstanding culture and create a charming Jiaxiang "as the theme, this stone sculpture festival adheres to the principle of " guidance by the government, operation by market, social participation, and policy support", vigorously carries forward the fine traditional culture, develops advanced socialist culture, comprehensively displays Jiaxiang’s unique resources and cultural advantages, strives to make bigger and stronger the stone cultural industry, forge Jiaxiang into "the cultural industry base for China’s stone sculpture and a renowned city of Chinese stone sculptural art" so as to promote the rapid and good economic and social development .
 
During the festival, there will the following activities: the opening ceremony of the stone sculpture festival and theatrical performances, the "Harmonious Beauty” Contest of Excellent Stone Sculptures, the stone sculptural art seminar with the theme of “stone sculptural art and urban construction", the unveiling ceremony of Jining industrial garden of stone sculptural culture, the second session of the Tsang Clansmen Association, the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Zengzi Avenue and the sacrificial ceremony of Zengzi’s 2512th birthday, and investment consultation and project signing ceremony.
