[10:05:37, April 14, 2009] Zhao Hongbo: In 2008, the province`s enterprises studied and implemented the scientific concept of development in a deep-going way, closely centered around the Provincial Government and the provincial Party Committee’s ideas of development and work arrangements, met difficulties head-on, worked hard to make progress, sped up the adjustment of economic structure, transformed the ways of development, further promoted independent innovation and energy-saving and emission reduction, seriously carried out taxpaying obligations and social responsibilities, tried to create advantages of new development, and actively coped with international financial crisis and other difficulties and challenges. There have emerged a large number of key enterprises with good development quality, competitive ability, good economic benefits, high taxpaying integrity, and great social contribution. They promoted the continued rapid growth of tax revenues and the steady increase of the "two proportions" and provided the financial guarantee for the good and rapid development of the whole province’s social and economic development. In 2008, our province`s tax revenues continued to maintain a stable and rapid growth. Of the total tax revenue, 264.1 billion yuan was national tax revenue, an increase of 19.6% as against the previous year, and billion yuan was local tax revenue, an increase of 16.6 % as against the previous year. In order to recognize the advanced enterprises, the Provincial Government has decided to confer the title of "Shandong Province’s 2008 Advanced Tax-paying Enterprises" on China Tobacco Shandong Industrial Corporation and other enterprises.
[10:06:55, April 14, 2009] Zhao Hongbo: I hope that the recognized enterprises will value the honor, make persistent efforts to achieve greater successes. All the enterprises throughout our province should follow the example of the advanced enterprises, firmly establish and implement the scientific concept of development, further emancipate our minds, be determined to make innovations, do businesses honestly, and pay taxes in accordance with the law. Governments at all levels and their departments should speed up their transformation of functions, enhance the consciousness of service, improve their administrative efficiency, create a good environment for enterprises’ fast and good development, and make a greater contribution to the promotion of scientific development, harmonious development and development before others, and the great objective of a new leap in enriching the people and strengthening the province.
