A woman is in intensive care in hospital after drinking pesticide during an argument with her husband over the washing up on Wednesday in Jinan, Shandong Province.

Liu and her husband were having a stand-off over the breakfast dishes when the woman snatched a bottle of pesticide and took a swig.

Her husband rushed Liu to hospital and after emergency treatment she has now regained consciousness.
