Standard Chartered Bank opened its Qingdao branch on Monday, offering both wholesale and consumer banking services.

The bank has got the regulatory approval to upgrade its representative office in Qingdao, East China''s Shandong Province, to a full branch in April. To further develop and expand in the country''s eastern area, Standard Chartered finalized a capital injection of 200 million yuan (US$25.3 million) in the new branch.
