To educate his 6-year-old daughter on being nice to people in need, a father in Jimo, Shandong, persuaded the girl to donate her pocket money to beggars on the street during the Spring Festival.

It had taken Wang''s daughter several days to agree to give the gift money she had got from relatives. She changed the 200 yuan ($25.80) into coins and gave them to beggars.

However the head of a local middle school disagreed with the father''s idea, saying although the intent was good, the action would foster vanity in the little girl.
