A young man in Qingdao, Shandong Province, managed to get a studio to refund a part of the money paid for a wedding photo shoot, after he broke up with his girlfriend.

The couple paid 4,000 yuan ($526) for the shoot and completed the indoor session in June. They planned to do the outdoors shoot on their wedding day in October, but broke up in early August. Liu then went back to the studio, hoping to get back a part of the money paid. However, the studio refused saying the break-up was not its fault. On August 22, the local consumers` association successfully persuaded the studio to refund Liu 1,000 yuan, taking into account his special circumstances.
