In order to speed up the step for building the innovation country, our country decided to construct China International Information Industry Center, and Department of Science and Technology has determined that CIIIC is located in our city by inspecting many times on the foundation of industrial structure and the advantages in information industry development. The leaders of the province and the city hold high priority to construct CIIIC. Secretary Zhang Gaoli gave the important instruction, and Governor Han Yuqun specially called a conference to conduct the research, giving full support to the construction of CIIIC; Secretary Jiang Daming and Mayor Bao Zhiqiang specially listened to the report on the preparatory work, and decided to reassign the capable persons to set up the work team. The construction of CIIIC will depend on the existing industrial layout of Jinan High-tech Development Zone and the Eastern Industrial Zone. In Jinan High-tech Development Zone foundation R＆D area and industrial area will be built up to make five production bases on software hatching, R＆D, the headquarters, the 3C industry and the data control equipment industry, with the exportation processing area to receive IT exportation processing enterprises, so that the overall pattern of "a center (CIIIC) and two areas (R＆D area and industrial area)" will be formed.
